We are having an open day at the hanger, it's been a year since we had the last Hanger Open Day, so it seems like time to invite our community back to have a look at what we do and who we are. There was plenty of interest last year, people were fascinated with how the Rescue Helicopter operates and serves the community in so many ways.
The date for this year's open day is the 26th April. We will be having some of the other emergency services in the hanger as well this year, the Alpine Cliff Rescue, Airport Crash Rescue, as well as potentially Ambulance, Fire, Police. I'm sure that there are lots of people in Queenstown and the wider area who would love to come and find out a little bit more about some of the services that respond when things go wrong for them.
This year we will even be having a draw for a ride in a rescue helicopter on the day, so that will be pretty exciting!
