Mrs Woolly's and Camp Glenorchy Update

Mar 18, 2022

Capture Reduced Hours

We are keen to keep serving you, but also want you to know like others in the area, Mrs Woolly’s has been impacted by COVID. To continue to stay open and to serve the community as best as possible with our healthy staff, we have shortened our opening hours to 9:30am – 3:00pm.
These shorter hours will help us maintain our staff’s health and wellbeing and allow us to support the governments isolation protocols in place. There is a chance that our coffee service and our prepared foods might only available as takeaway on certain days until we have sufficient staff back to provide our full range of services.
Thank you for your patience with us as we work to stay open and provide as many services and products possible.

Kohlrabi Fresh From Our Kitchen Garden. We have an abundance of a delicious but funny looking vegetable, kohlrabi in our garden and even though it looks a little bit like a tiny alien, it's truly delicious. Kohlrabi is a member of the brassica family, so if you are a fan of broccoli, cauliflower and cabbage you will love it! You can cook with the whole vegetable and roast, mash or steam, and the nutritious leaves can be used like spinach. It can also be eaten raw - it's magical in slaws and salads. It is a good source of folate and thiamine and contains a significant amount of potassium and vitamin C.

We asked Chef Fabiola for her favorite recipe using this versatile vegetable:

Roasted Kohlrabi with Goat's Cheese & Tarragon.
