Save the Date and start watching for your prize-winning blossoms
Saturday 9th October
A quick note to mark your calendars for Saturday 9th October for the Glenorchy Flower Show at the Hall. If you’ve never been, this is one of Glenorchy’s not-to-be-missed annual signature events.
For anyone interested in photography, this year’s subject for the Flower Show portrait photography category will be Paul (Tussock) Chapman; the Glenorchy Wharf is the second subject, and Minimalism is the third. For budding young artists, the children’s photography topics will be “Pop of Colour” and “Legs.”
A big thanks again to those who purchased bulbs from the Flower Show Committee earlier this year: all fingers crossed that your new bulbs made it into the ground and will be blooming beautifully in time to enter them in the show on the 9th. Thanks to you over $500 was raised to support Nurse Debbie, and we were able to plant a few extra bulbs at the Rural Women’s Suffrage camellia bench site for everyone to enjoy on the Village Green.
