All Year Around Overnight Hut Stays

Stay at 1880m high on a mountain. Access is by helicopter.

The emphasis is on glamping (glamour camping) and simplicity so you can better experience the

exhilaration of sleeping high on Mt Larkins with your friends or family.

A wood burner fire keeps the hut warm and cosy.

Hut sleeps up to six. We can accommodate up to ten with tenting or snow caving.

Host takes care of your groups safety and satisfaction or go by yourself.

New Zealand Winter Ski Touring: June to October.

Huge variety of terrain from steep to mild.

Guided runs for both experienced or beginners.

New Zealand summer hiking: November to May

Combine the classic helicopter flight with an overnight hut stay and time hiking up high.

Hike or climb towards the summit of Mt Larkins 2300m with your guide.

Delight in the grand mountaintop vistas.

Stay on for sunset on the ridge and a mountain meal on dusk.

Glenorchy Heli Hiking

Whakaari (means High Place) Conservation Area.

Trips are for 2-5 people
