LAKESIDE and ROADSIDE CLEAN UP DAY

In our Mission Statement, Sustainable Glenorchy refers to our aim to keep the air, water and soil as pure as possible for future generations. Many tourists visit, and many residents live in and around our township because of its natural beauty, and we all know it is much easier to add to existing litter than to be the first one to make the mess.
Where: Meet at the Hall
When: Saturday 8 November, 9:30am (This date coincides with QLDC’s annual inorganic rubbish collection)
What to bring:
Your children and your friends!
A bucket
A litter picker if you have one
What to wear:
High-vis clothing if you have it
Gloves
Protective footwear
We'll hopefully have a few library litter kits to share if you come early. These consist mainly of a litter picker and high-vis top. We would really like you to join us again for just an hour or two; it doesn't take any longer than that. You'll feel good about yourself and meet up with interesting people!
