Rabbit Control Operation ongoing for Glenorchy Golf Club / Lakeside Rugby Club

Lakeside Rugby Club and the Glenorchy Golf Club will be using services to continue rabbit
control on the Golf Club and Rugby Club grounds. This operation aims to further reduce
rabbit numbers to decrease the effect they have on the vegetation and grounds.
The rabbit shooting Operation is ongoing and will take place from 5th September 2025
between the hours of 8pm – 2am. Depending on weather.
This is to advise all residents in the nearby area of the rabbit control operation.
Signage and personnel will be at main entrance points to ensure no one enters the area
during these operations.
- Please respect the cordons and DO NOT enter the area when signage and personnel are present
- Public walking tracks will be closed, if members of the public are asked to leave, please do so.
- Police have been notified of the rabbit control operation.Please be aware of the noise from firearms, which are suppressed but maybe heard in the area.
