GLENORCHY CLINIC INFORMATION

Nurse led clinicevery Wednesday between 9am and 10am.

This is a non-funded clinic – Engage Safety covers all costs, there is no government or health funding.

To ensure access, there is no fee to attend the clinic but a koha/donation is appreciated ($10-20 is usual)

We can bring prescription, or other pharmacy products, through from Queenstown:

Process -

Person needs to get their GP to write the prescription and sent to Summerfields Pharmacy, at the BP Round-a-bout before midday on the Tuesday.

I will collect from the pharmacy.

Medication will be available for collection from the clinic during clinic hours.

If there is payment for prescriptions or any other pharmacy products, if this could be made prior to the pickup that would be appreciated, or cash can be paid at the clinic

Services available at clinic

Bloods taken for the Queenstown Lab – you need a lab request from you Dr.(Please drink plenty of fluids before presenting and keep arms warm)

Blood pressure taken and reported to GP, on request.

Ears checked.

Health Advice.

Healthy heart assessment – Cardiac risk assessment.

PCR COVID swabbing.

RATs tests and Masks.

Smoking Cessation advice.

Stitches removed.

Weight check.

Wounds assessed and dressed.

Home visits are available before or after clinic times by prior arrangements with Debbie.

Engage Safety hires the following disability equipment – prior bookings are required, and the charges are payable at time of hire. The equipment can be collected from the health clinic.

Wheelchairs $8 day/ $40 weekly

Shower Chair $5 day / $25 weekly

Walking Frame $5 day / $25 weekly

Commode $5 day / $25 weekly

High sitting chair (good following hip replacements) $5 day / $25 weekly

Crutches $5 day / $25 weekly
