THE WINNERS OF WAG 2018

Nov 5, 2018

GLENORCHY SCHOOL

1st – Spring Time – Made & modelled by Ilana Baker

Ilana’s favourite time of the year is Spring and she loves anything to do with art especially cutting paper flowers so was very excited to be able to use them to make a beautiful dress. The dress is made from brown paper bags and her very own folded and cut paper designs. She wanted this dress to be colourful, fun and full of life just like Spring.

2nd – Space 101 – Made by Archer McBeth, Nate Grant and Caitlyn Grubb and modelled by Nate and Caitlyn

3rd Equal – Shiny Crystal Dragon – made by Tru Russell, Hazel Mason and Pippa Craigie and modelled by Pippa

3rd Equal – Jaws – made by Toby Poplawski, Tom Girling and Dylan Grubb and modelled by Dylan

Queen of Hearts – designed by Brylee Percy and modelled by Zena Stahn

How much fun can be had with a pack of cards?! Throw in some poker chips…

1st – Jocks Which Rock

You can take the boy out of the country but...! Made from merino fleece wool and old blankets. Rambo jocks/stubbies are the perfect evening attire for a night on the town!

OVERALL FIRST PRIZE

Forest Dream – designed & modelled by Yennis Mak

The outfit is inspired by Spring flowers, nature and forest. My dress and shoes are mostly made from leaves, artificial and dried flowers. The headpiece is made from a deer head skull. I want the outfit to be very springy, beautiful and looking like nature.
