GY HARVEST FESTIVAL 2017

Glenorchy Rural Women are pleased to announce that the Harvest Festival 2017 will take place on Sunday the 2nd April this year, the day after the Peacock Revival: Concert in Paradise and also the day that daylight savings ends this year...
Have an extra hour in bed and then come down to the Hall for Harvesty goodness, a yarn with the neighbourhood and a shared lunch. We ask that you do bear in mind that the lunch doesn't happen until after the judging has been completed which is a bit of an unknown factor, so if you have little people who need early feeding it probably pays to come prepared!
As usual judging will be undertaken by members of the Glenorchy First Response team and they take their job very seriously. We'll be bringing along some stuff for keeping the kids entertained with sack races and apple bobbing and the like but if the weather doesn't play the game that may not quite pan out!
This year we've also added junior categories in the baking section for bread, tarts and dessert. We're looking forward to another relaxed day out with all the star bakers and green thumbs of the district showing off their goodies so please meander on down with a plate to share and we'll see you there.
