THEFT OF FIREARMS Geoffrey Thomson has reported that a locked gun cabinet in his house at Mt Earnslaw Station has been broken into and several rifles and shotguns have been stolen. This act has caused great distress within the family as some family heirlooms have been taken.The Queenstown Police have been given details and have advised that all gun holders check that their gun cabinets are sound and secure. ("Could someone break in with basic tools in a couple of minutes?")IF anyone has any information about this incident could they please inform the Queenstown Police on 03-441 1600.
