WATER SHUT DOWN IN GLENORCHY

Dec 17, 2015

All Glenorchy residents and businesses will be receiving a note from Veolia tomorrow (if not already) to say that there will be a water shut-down on Tuesday morning 22 December between 8.30am and 12.30pm.

This is to allow for two new isolation valves to be installed – in brief, that means that in future, work will be able to be done on sections of the water main without having to disrupt supply to the whole town.

We apologise for the disruption. Veolia has already been in touch with the hotel, backpackers, café and lodge, as well as the information centre and has adjusted the time of the shut-down so it causes less hassle for them.

If you have any questions, please contact Veolia’s project engineer, Stuart Pile, on 034509240.
