HOW TO USE ACCESS BORROWBOX - (EBOOKS AND AUDIOBOOKS)

Mar 29, 2020

Hi everyone,

While we’re in a quiet time I know some of you are looking for something more to read. The library system has two free e-reader and audiobook systems called Borrowbox and Libby. You’ll need to download a couple of apps to use them. This week we’ll look at Borrowbox.

Go to https://www.borrowbox.com or the App Store and download the App. You can also access directly through the Library website by choosing Library Online/eBooks:

Capture QLDC11It’ll then ask you for your library and your library card number and pin. If you don’t know your ID number or your pin, after 12pm on Monday the 30th, you can email Queenstown library and they can help you reset: Queenstown.library@qldc.govt.nz

Capture QLDC12 Once you’re logged in, you’ll see at the bottom of your screen that you can choose from e-audiobooks or eBooks themselves. They function like library books so you check them out for a period of time and then when you are finished ‘return’ them.

There are quite a few new books and it’s a great opportunity to catch up on things you’ve been meaning to read or listen to!

Let me know if you have any questions or need a hand in figuring out how to use these resources.

Warm wishes,

Leslie
