THE POOL HAS HAD A BIG TIDY-UP!
The old fibreglass is starting to break down with cracks in the base and water getting under the fibreglass. These have all been repaired, sanded and the entire pool and concrete surrounds have been repainted. This will need a few more days to cure before the pool can be filled for the season.
Enormous thanks to Aymeric Mary who has led this massive volunteer effort. He was very ably helped by Clement Lejean and Matthew Kensett. Gerry Gale provided advice, discount paint and time and Mark Todd advised and helped with the painting.
Please thank these people if you see them around Glenorchy because it has been a huge labour of love so we can all swim this summer.
Pool keys will be available at the Trading Post again (thanks Toni and John) and will be the same price as last year:
- Key deposit - $10
- Single season pass - $60
- Family season pass - $110
Well done to everyone involved and huge thanks from the whole community.
We’re lucky to have such a valuable asset but even luckier to have people who will do all the hard work.
