QLDC DISTRICT PLAN OPEN FOR SUBMISSIONS

Sep 22, 2015

The Queenstown Lakes District Council has recently notified the Proposed Queenstown Lakes District Plan and invites everyone in the community to take a look and make a submission.

There are many differences between the current Operative District Plan and the Proposed District Plan. The Proposed Plan affects all properties in the District and may impact what you and your neighbours can do with your properties.

You should take a look to see what it means for you.

We’ve prepared a range of fact sheets which cover some of the more significant changes.
These can be found here: www.qldc.govt.nz/planning/district-plan/proposed-district-plan/fact-sheets/

If you’d like to get into more detail, you can read the full chapters and Section 32 reports a www.qldc.govt.nz/proposed-district-plan

The challenges we’re facing as a community are not unique to our district. The Council has pulled together a range of interesting articles if you’re keen to get a wider understanding – they highlight that many other areas have faced issues like high growth and housing affordability and used similar approaches.   You’ll also find these at www.qldc.govt.nz/proposed-district-plan
