RESTRICTED FIRE SEASON DECLARED

The Otago Rural Fire Authority have declared a Restricted Fire Season for the whole of Otago, taking effect this coming Saturday.
This means that you will need a permit for any outdoor burning, including bonfires, campfires, burning hedge clippings etc. You can still use gas cookers, gas BBQs or cooking fires in a permanent fireplace where there is no danger of embers escaping.
